The Story

Like many fellow watch enthusiasts, I have a soft spot for fixed bar watches, also known as tool watches, favoured by special forces around the world. One particular watch that sparked my interest is a model first issued to the Royal Navy in 1980 and still in use today by elite units. Its enduring design and reliability are a testament to its legacy. However, I soon noticed a gap in the market: there was no stainless steel bracelet specifically engineered for fixed bar watches. This realisation highlighted a shared frustration among many watch owners.

Imagine being unable to wear your trusted timepiece—a watch that has been with you through countless experiences—simply because the strap doesn’t suit a special occasion. Whether it’s a formal event or a personal milestone, it feels like leaving behind a loyal companion just because they lack the appropriate attire. This sentiment resonated deeply with me and inspired my quest to find a solution.

With my background in engineering, I embarked on a solo journey from concept to creation. From initial sketches and CAD designs to numerous 3D-printed and metal prototypes, the development process took shape rapidly, and within 60 days, I had a fully functional prototype.

The following months were dedicated to rigorous testing in both laboratory and real-world conditions. After extensive trials and adjustments, I am proud to introduce a stainless steel bracelet specifically designed for fixed bar watches. This innovation offers a sleek and functional solution that hadn’t been explored in the history of these timepieces.

Sigma Strap is not just about functionality; it celebrates the enduring bond between watch owners and their timepieces. While our products are designed with compatibility in mind, we are an independent brand with no affiliations with any watch manufacturers. Today, I’m excited to share this product with watch enthusiasts worldwide. Sign up for updates, and stay tuned for future innovations. Thank you for your continued support.
